Nutritional therapy is a holistic, collaborative process based on exploration, support and empowerment. I will ask abundant questions, listen to your answers, and focus on your individual needs. Too often, we prioritise everyone and everything in life without supporting and nourishing ourselves. By dedicating the time to understanding your story, we can explore the root cause of any health concerns and challenges you may be experiencing or looking to prevent. You are a whole, intricately connected individual with a body that is a powerful communicator. If you took the time to slow down and really listen, what could it be trying to say?
Today's busy lifestyle typically means we work long hours, we are chronically stressed, and we are overstimulated. We may be eating more or less than we need, be too sedentary or over-exercising, and not prioritising sleep. This can lead to a whole variety of digestive and mental health symptoms, including: fatigue; low energy; anxiety; low mood; mood swings, low libido; stress and burnout; aches and pains; skin conditions; difficult perimenopause; unexplained infertility; and autoimmune conditions.
Personalised nutrition and lifestyle interventions may not offer a magic bullet. but can target the root cause of the problem rather than only managing symptoms. Adequately nourishing your body and brain can have a surprising and profound impact on your long-term health and wellbeing.
Nutritional therapy is not only about food. I will take the time to explore and understand your whole health puzzle. Our focus will depend on your individual needs, but we will look at what, how and when you eat and drink, whether and how you move, what your stress levels are like, how (or if) you rest and relax, the quality of your sleep, your relationships, and the role of social connection and purpose in your life.
There will be no fad-diets, judgement, shame or guilt. You will not be made to eat kale every day or suddenly deprived of all the things you currently enjoy! Instead, we will work together at a pace to suit you, and you will understand the ‘whys’ behind the personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations we agree together, so they feel meaningful. achievable and sustainable for you.
